From kids bikes, to hardtails and full suspension bikes to eBikes – there are hire options that will suit you. Check out these businesses below you can hire a mountain bike from, to explore the region’s 200km of trails.

If you’re not familiar with the trail network and don’t feel like following a map the whole time, also check out the option to book a guided tour. That way, you can let a local expert show you the best trails for your skill level, while also sharing knowledge and history of Whakarewarewa Forest.

Mountain Bike Rotorua has a range of full suspension mountain bikes, hardtails, eBikes and kids mountain bikes. Hire options: 2 hours,
4 hours, a day, up to 7 days.
Hire is also available at
Skyline Gravity Park.

are available.

Planet Bike has a range of
full suspension and hardtail mountain bikes, eBikes and kids mountain bikes, as well
as a tagalong for kids. Hire options: 2 hour, 4 hour, a
day or consecutive-day hire (note: bikes must be
returned at the end of each day).

Brands: Scott, Avanti, Banshee.

Guided tours are available.

Electric Bike Rotorua offers both full suspension and hardtail electric bikes for
hire, with junior eBikes (age 8+) available too.
Hire options: 1 hour, 2 hours,
4 hours, a day or consecutive days. For overnight hire, a charger is provided and a fee
of $20 is applied.

My Ride Rotorua have adult full suspension mountain bikes and hardtail mountain bikes. Hire for a half day or
full day.
